Robert Munsch

I was born on June 11, 1945, in Pittsburgh and grew up in a family of 9 kids.

I studied for 7 years to be a Jesuit priest, only to find that I was lousy priest material. I also worked part-time at an orphanage.  I discovered that I could get the kids to shut up during nap time by telling them stories. For ten years I did this and eventually began writing and publishing children’s books.
