Percolate opened in 2013 as a gallery and community space and transitioned under different leadership until current Director Carolyn Pierotti took over in 2016. During her time as Director, Pierotti curated numerous exhibitions, hosted benefits for local non-profits which included Proud Haven, Global Links, and Girls Rock Pittsburgh. Carolyn also offered workshops and artist talks, and in 2018 invited women curators to present exhibitions throughout the year.

Today, it is part of the Casey Droege Cultural Productions (CDCP), an artist-run/woman-owned business dedicated to building the Pittsburgh arts community by offering accessible, quality art experiences that connect the local and the global, encourage the growth of a local arts economy and build a diverse arts audience. We support creatives and businesses through commercial ventures, public programming, and consulting services.
