The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Harris Theater is one of the most active arts facilities in the region showing art films nearly every day of the year.

Seating is in an “end stage/screen” configuration with 150 seats in a long and narrow space and an additional 44 seats in the balcony.

The theater is named in honor of John Paul Harris (1872 – 1926), a Pittsburgh businessman who is credited with opening the world’s first theater devoted entirely to showing movies in 1905.
