Alpen Schuhplattler

The Alpen Schuhplattler were officially founded in 1964, when a group of dancers was formed to represent the German culture at the Pittsburgh Folk Festival.

Its mission is to create, educate, and foster among its members a genuine love for Bavarian-Tyrolean traditions and costume. This includes learning and performing original Bavarian and Tyrolean dances, customs and camaraderie.
