The Katz Performing Arts Center is the 364-seat performance facility of the Jewish Community Center.

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, a member of the Jewish Community Center Association of North America, is one of the largest social service, recreational and educational organizations in the region.

The Katz is named in honor of businessman and philanthropist Joseph M. Katz (1913-1991) and his wife, Agnes. Mr. Katz founded the giftwrap firm Papercraft in 1945.
