First published in 2001, The Pittsburgh A&E Book is the only professional directory to the region’s arts and entertainment community/industry.

Everyone working in --- or wishing to work in --- the Pittsburgh creative community will find the resources they need within these pages.

The project traces directly back to the days when local author/arts entrepreneur James A. Richards was producing events first for the Joseph Horne Company and later the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. He began gathering information on entertainers and arts organizations that I kept in a loose “groups file.” As other people learned about it, they would often turn to him for the information. Eventually, Jim created a formal that database that led to the creation of The Pittsburgh A&E Book.

So, no matter your interest or project --- producing a film, staging a play, mounting an art exhibit or performing at a festival --- The Pittsburgh A&E Book is your first and best resource to locate whatever you need.
